Three Painted Marbleized Darning Eggs
This group of three darning eggs shows the wonderful variety of painted decoration occasionally used for these early sewing items. Plain wooden darning eggs were once a common item in nearly every household, but these painted ones are much more unusual.

Condition is very nice, with expected wear to the paint, particularly where it would have come into contact with the business end of a needle. I would guesstimate a late 19th C or early 20th C date.
This grouping of three makes a fine display, designers know the trick of displaying multiples. A wonderful opportunity to add to your collection... or start one!
