Antique Millefiore Mosaic Set in Glass Pin
For your consideration is this antique millefiore mosaic, set in glass, pin. This pin, circa mid 1800's, is a bow shape having two separate sections that attach in the center with a clear glass accent. Each section is bordered with brass and brass dot embellishment. The hinge and closure are the clues to the date range. This marvelous treasure is unsigned, it was not customary until the early 1900's to mark each piece with a maker's mark. The pin portion features a slight bend, however, it does not interfere in any way. This charming pin measures 2" x 1/2" at it's widest and is in excellent condition.
