We are very pleased to offer this elegant, vintage Evans powder compact. This compact is circa 1920's and features a black celluloid top adorned with a romantic miniature enamel painting, framed with ornate brass. The bakelite is also framed with brass and white enamel. The miniature painting portrays a courtly scene between a man and woman, with a charming background. This classy compact opens to reveal a mirror and the closed powder compartment. There is minor damage at the top of the mirror, please view pictures carefully. The push button release opens the powder compartment. The compact is currently free of powder. The bottom is textured brass. This unique compact measures 2 5/8" x 2 5/8". There are superficial scratches on the surface of the bakelite due to use and age, plus some tarnish and rust spots inside, however, this compact is in great conditional overall. It's a wonderful vanity item.
