"Skookums" – a truly wonderful example, circa 1920. Designed by Mary McAboy of Missoula, Montana, and manufactured by various companies, this eleven and one-half inch example features a molded composition face, black mohair wig styled in braids, and a brown cloth body with separate articulated arms and legs. She retains her original costume of printed cotton, paper head band with feather, and a wool blanket. In good condition overall due to normal wear and light soil, a very nice bonus is the adorable "baby" that can be found in its cradle board upon Mama's back.
