Republic Period early 20th Century Chinese Eggshell Porcelain Vase of Scholar Having Tea

A beautiful classically-shaped overglaze enamel vase with a painting of a scholar sitting at his desk while being served tea, and while a worker or student brings books down from a shelf. There is a poem on the back of the vase with a seal mark attribution.

There is an apocryphal seal mark of the Qianlong Emperor in red on the base.

Measures 9" tall x 4" diameter at the widest point.

Condition: The condition is perfect with no chips or cracks.

A beautifully painted slice of a scholar's life all carefully performed by a deft human hand.
