Fine English VICTORIAN solid silver SALVER dated 1848
This magnificent, large antique Victorian sterling silver salver has a Circular shaped form.
The swept shaped sides are embellished with bright scrolling decoration.
The rim is ornamented with applied shell & scroll decoration.
The top surface is finely engraved with shell, scroll & floral patterns.
THERE IS A FINE ENGRAVED FAMILY CREST WITH MOTTO.
This fine salver is supported by three impressive cast scroll decorated bracket style feet, 1 1/2" high.
This large Victorian salver is quite magnificent, and one of the finest of its type one could ever hope to find.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside are very clear.
