Pair of George III Silver Salts By Bateman

The most stunning pair of George III SILVER Salts made by The famous Peter & William Bateman 1805- 1814. Pair of George III Cushion-shaped sterling silver salts on pedestal foot. The rim is decorated with a band of Ribs of generous size. On one side of each salt is engraved a family Crest of a Unicorn's head. The hallmarks are stamped beneath each foot and are very crisp for London ENGLAND for 1808. The inside has mellow gilding and are 4 1/8" x 2 3/4" and almost 2 1/2" high. The gross weight is 188.8 grams that is in the region of over 6 onces. The base's are 2 6/16" x 1 11/16" A wonderful pair to adorn any dinning table.
