Vintage Kool Cigarette Advertising Plastic Willie and Millie Salt and Pepper Shakers
Here is a wonderful set of old plastic Willie and Millie salt and pepper shakers. They were advertising premiums for Kool Cigarettes. Kool Cigarettes began using a penguin as its advertising premium in the early 30's. These shakers were first introduced in the mid 40's. Measuring 3-1/2" tall, they are in excellent vintage condition. The plastic has no breaks or cracks. There is some paint wear on Minnie's beak and around the bottom on her right leg. The original plastic stoppers are intact. Written on both of the bottoms is "F&F Mold and Die Works, Dayton, Ohio, U.S.A."
These would make a fabulous addition to your salt and pepper, advertising, or tobacciana collection.
