Shoe shine for a nickel, Mister.
Dating to the late 1800s or early 1900s, this antique shoe shine box is a splendid sight.
Perfect for a photo prop or to place in any carnival collection, it measures 11.25" long x 6.5" high x 5.75" deep. It has a heavy, brass shoe plate with a star attached to the top. The Victorian font and paint is still spectacular, with appropriate wear from age.
We just love it.
'Shine' is written on the sides and the going rate of 5 cents can be found on each end. This shoe shine box opens with its original antique hinges, although the wood has seen better days. There is some stripping on one side and on the top, which in our opinion, adds character to this antique piece.
This wood box is in overall very good condition with some old dust from years gone by. It will make a great addition to any abandoned theme park or Western setting.
