Circa 1966-1986, this vintage art features Frederic Bazille's 'Negro Girl with Peonies.'
It is a very hard-to-find print that was distributed by the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. The original painting is from the collection of Mr. & Mrs. Paul Mellon, exhibited in 1966 and again in 1986.
This print was sold as a souvenir for those visiting the museum and we recently discovered it at an Atlanta estate along with a stack of other vintage prints from a similar era (1950-80s). We will be listing them over the next week or so.
This print measures 11" high x 14" wide. The image view is 8.5" high x 10.5" wide. It is without a frame and was beautifully printed on heavier weight paper. There is light, age-related toning and foxing along the white border, which is consistent with age.
This print is in overall excellent condition, without rips or tears, and is ready for framing.
Vintage art its best, this lovely print is perfect for any haunted home.
