This is an amazing, antique leather child's saddle with a pewter handle and solid wood stirrups.
It is made of heavy, genuine leather that is slightly brittle in a few places. We have recently cleaned and conditioned it for longevity and stability.
This saddle measures approx. 15" long x 15" wide (excluding the belly strap and stirrups). The solid wood stirrups and pewter handle lured us to this beautiful piece. Guaranteed to not disappoint.
Circa early 1900s, it is in excellent condition, but with obvious age-related wear. There are cracks and scratches scattered throughout, but the most worthy to be mentioned are the missing stamped rivets along one side of the saddle. It doesn't disturb the beauty of this piece and is being mentioned solely for accuracy.
We will be listing the horse bridle that accompanied this piece within the next week (so please check back).
This is a very hard to find piece and one to be treasured by any equestrian collector.
