Up for your viewing pleasure is a splendid serving dish for your formal dining.
Simple in design with Art Deco-inspired accents, it includes the lid and footed base and is most likely from the 1950/60s era.
The base measures approx. 13" long (excluding side handles) x 8.25" wide x 1.5" deep (excluding pedestal feet).
It has a stylish, geometric design on all four corners and the lid and side handles have a matching design. It is without a glass insert, so it will need to be replaced (which shouldn't be a difficult task if you enjoy baking and have a collection of glass baking pans).
This 2-piece set is in excellent condition, without noted dings, dents or pitting. It has minor wear from previous use and there is a light silverplate patina, which we have not polished. We will leave that decision to the buyer.
We were unable to find a maker's mark on this piece, but it is a quality-made piece. A lovely serving dish with a style to complement any dinnerware collection.
