"Grandma got run over by a reindeer, walkin' home from our house Christmas Eve...It was probably the fault of Blitzen & Vixen, and here they are for your decorative needs."
Made of genuine solid wood, each streamlined reindeer is painted in ivory white. The upright reindeer measures 17" tall x 12" wide x 3" thick. The feeding reindeer is 14" wide x 8.5" high x 3" thick.
Their necks are adorned in crude, crisp foliage with tiny, tattered, white silk flowers and jingle bell-attached, wild ribbons.
This pair is in excellent condition, with very minor bumps and bruises from storage over the years. The only condition issue worth mentioning is that the horned reindeer has lost one of his pegged horns...oh dear.
The other is intact and can be removed, so if you're fortunate to know a wood craftsman, he can whittle another to match. (Or for fun, you can insert a couple of tortuous twigs or thick wire in the holes as replacements.)
You can still display this festive set as is (or consider removing the one horn altogether). So many options!
These reindeer are unsigned, but most likely circa 1980/90s. Guaranteed to make an exciting Christmas display.
