1961 Traditional Art of the African Nations ~ Hardcover Book

Interestingly, this book brings back memories of the 1958 movie, "Bell, Book and Candle," and the primitive art gallery operated by the Greenwich Village witch (played by Kim Novak). These images are examples of what could be seen in her gallery.

This first edition book was created by The Museum of Primitive Art and published by University Publishers, Inc., NY, in 1961.

It is in excellent condition, containing approx. 50 unpaginated pages. It has 77, mostly black and white plates, and measures 11.25" high x 8.75" wide.

A treasure trove of African art ~ from Chad to the Central African Republic ~ for your vintage art library. It is an excellent resource for any art collector.
