Free US shipping For your consideration is this lovely English serving set with silver handles and carved bone spoon and fork sections. With original case. Stamped with HH on the back(possibly Harrison Brothers and Howson of Sheffield), it also has registry marks on both sides plus another near the ferrule of the pieces. They are hard to read but I can almost discern that the date section of the lower mark is either a P or Q, which might indicate the years 1851 or 1866. Of great interest to me(and I hope the reader!) is the herald or family/organization crest. From the bottom up is: A line of twisted rope, then right hands joined in union, over that are two cornucopias surrounding a staff with two snakes twisted around it. The staff is topped with a cap or hat(possibly a farmer's). I purchased this in as is condition, I have not cleaned the silver or bone. The fork is in wonderful condition but the spoon has an old repair that was done very well-it is pinned and very sturdy. It could use a good cleaning. The case is in good condition but I think a part of the latch is missing as it does not close all the way or stay shut.
