Seth Thomas 8 day Banjo style clock in the 'Brookfield' model(in the Willard style). This clock is fully functional as it has just come back from our wonderful clock doctor, so it has been professionally cleaned and repaired. The original works are double spring powered with chiming rods, and the key and pendulum are also original.
Measuring 29" long, with a 5.5" dial, it's case is made of mahogany which still has the original finish. On the back of the case is the original Seth Thomas paper label stating it is a Brookfield clock. There is a replaced American eagle decorative finial. There are a few spots of paint splatters(directly on the flat area behind the decorative gold scroll work) that do come off when pushed with a finger nail, and there are a few corners(hopefully shown in the photos) where the varnish is worn. This particular clock was given to a bride in the 1960's who didn't care for the decorative glass and scraped away the interiors of the two glasses(presumably to see the pendulum move). This clock is listed on page 42 of Brooks Palmer's, 'A Treasury of American Clocks'.
If you are just getting into vintage, non-electric clocks, this model is very user friendly and looks nice, while not taking up too much wall space. Shipping is determined by zip but if you would like estimates, please email. Any questions are welcomed and more photos are available on request.
