"Shaker" Box
This mid size oval antique "SHAKER" box is a very nice item for the collector of Shaker items. The box measures 6 1/2"L X 4 7/8"W and is 2 3/4"T.It has an unfinished patina dry look and is from the mid 1800's. On the side is one large finger going from right to left and one finger on the lid going left to right. Brass nails and in excellent condition.There is a note on the lid(inside) identifying the original owner or maker which says "Henry Wolcott, Giller, b-8-23-1844, d-12-19-1893. There is also lettering on the interior surface "30 c for 3 or 10 c for single"
