Turned Wooden Sewing Box

When all three pieces are assembled the height of the box is almost 6 inches and the diameter at the base is 3 1/2 inches.

There are 7 metal spikes for holding spools of thread.

The box is in excellent shape. There is one old and very small chip at the top of the pedestal holding the pincushion. There is a recessed area at the top of the cover which could be used to hold finger wax or thimbles. There is adequate room in the base of the box for needles and other sewing items.

This is a very elegant piece.
