Marjorie Henderson Buell's "Little Lulu at the Circus" was published in 1946 by McLaughlin Brothers, Inc. Springfield, Massachusetts as a Westfield Classic lithographed 9" x 7-3/4" hardcover book. Blurb on inside front flap of the dust jacket says, "All children love circuses, and Little Lulu and Tubby Tom dreamed about the circus for weeks before it finally came to town. But even in their wildest dreams they didn't have as much excitement as they had the day of the big show, when Little Lulu just happened to become one of the performers!" Forty-two unnumbered pages, 11 full page colored illustrations, and many black and white cartoons delight the reader as he or she discovers how much fun it is at the circus. The cover is very good with some edge wear on the corners and top and bottom of spine, while dust jacket has been reinforced at top and bottom edges and taped at front as shown in the last photo. Front and back black and white illustrated end paper hinges have been reinforced, and there is a small closed tear at top of first fly leaf. Otherwise the inside is excellent - nice and clean with no pencil, crayon or smudge marks. Book and dust jacket have been wrapped with a clear mylar cover for added protection, which can, of course, be removed if you like. If you are a Little Lulu fan, this hard-to-find book in such good condition is a real find. Thank you for stopping by.
