Rare Alexander Hawaiian Doll

Little 8" bent knee Madame Alexander Wendy does the hula in her metallic gold paper "grass" skirt and flower halter. Introduced in 1966, this Hawaiian doll's costume is the earliest one with the flower decorated net lei and the lotus in her hair. The gold elastic waistband to which the grass skirt is attached is slightly stretched and has a pair of cotton panties attached to it under the skirt. The green and red halter top is stretched from age as well, but her lovely brown sleep eyes work well, and her dark, glistening hair is in its original set. This scarce doll would be an extraordinarily fine acquisition to your collection. Thank you for stopping by. Please email me if I can help you in any way.
