German porcelain Lady Powder Jar, Sitzendorf

Beautiful porcelain lady in sky-blue gown with panniers is a vintage dresser jar or trinket box measuring 7-3/4" tall x 4-1/2" wide. The top of the box separates from the bottom about the hip level, a little below where her left hand holds a folded fan. With three blue feathers in her pompadour styled hairdo, she wears a dark beaded necklace that helps to soften the decolletage or her ruffled neckline. The lovely details of expression on her face show that she is indeed of German manufacture, even if the crown impressed mark over an "S" indicating the Sitzendorf Company in Thuringia, Germany, on the underside were not there. In perfect condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs, she would be a lovely addition to your collection. Thank you for looking.
