I am pleased to offer this antique Victorian walnut shadowbox picture frame with Eastlake accents. Outside of this ca. 1875 frame measures 15-1/2" x 13-1/2", and is comprised of three sections: the 2" walnut frame, 1/2" wide gold lip and 2" wide black lacquer tier with incised Eastlake design edged in gold (making it 3" deep). Inside opening is 8" x 10", and the frame still has its original wood back and the glass from when I purchased it (Don't know if that is the original glass). There are no screw eyes or hanging wire on the reverse, although there are indications where they once were located, and I can have someone add those if you request it. Walnut frame is sturdy and in very good condition. The gold liners have tiny checks and discoloration. There is a bit of the black lacquer edge missing below the top right corner (which has been touched up), so if you want a perfect frame, this may not be for you. If you want one that is over a century old and has lots of character along with the beauty of the warm walnut wood, this would be the perfect choice for Grandpa's aging visage or perhaps a small thimble collection! Thank you for looking. Please email me if I can help you in any way.
