Antique Sterling mesh Doll's Purse
Dating from 1900, the lilliputian chatelaine or miniature purse is marked "Sterling" on the inside of the frame. There are a couple other tiny marks as well, but they are indecipherable, even with magnification. Not only is the tiny purse in excellent condition, but it has a great feel to it. From outside of rim, the widest part measures 1-7/8", and from the top of closure to the bottom of the mesh measures 1-3/4", not including the four little decorative balls at the bottom.
