Limoges Bowl and 7 Plates by Tressemanes and Vogt 1891 This was a treasure found in a most unlikely place, a barn in the mountains of Alabama. I felt as if on a mission to save such beauty and craftsmanship. The shape of the plates seem to be like the overlapping folds of a fan. The hand painting is detailed with raised dots to the touch. The edges are finished with the fine quality of gold. The bowl is 8 inches and the plates are 7 ½ inches. These are perfect for salad or dessert or a light luncheon portion. Incorporate into your serving and enjoy this rescued treasure. The condition is most excellent with the most minor wear of the gold trim and painting only seen under a magnifying glass.
