Van Briggle Pottery figure of a Hopi Maiden grinding corn.
The figure is finished in matte earth tones--a terra cotta-like tan and a touch of blue on the shawl. It measures about 7-1/2 inches tall and weighs 1-3/4 pounds.
Scratched into the bottom of the slip cast figure are the double-A Van Briggle logo, the name Van Briggle, "Colo. Spgs" and the initials MK. It dates from the last third of the 20th century, probably the 1980s.
Condition: excellent, with no cracks, chips or repairs that we have been able to find. A very nice example of Van Briggle pottery.
