This good-looking tie is on a high metallic silver silk, which is quite attractive. The motif includes an Indian man holding an axe in his right hand, with a sword hanging off his dhoti, and he has a rope in his left hand that appears to go to the back of the woman standing beside him. Both are in traditional dress, and are done in red, blue, with accents of black. There are also trees and flowers.
There is a label on the inside of the blade that reads "Massab Bros , Importers, New York City". They were established in 1928 and are still in business today (but are categorized under jewelry, precious stones & precious metal).
The condition is very good. No snags or spots. The tie is lined in silk.
Measurements: 3" x 53"
