Grosvenor China "Tea Rose" A533 Yellow Roses

This a beautiful cup and saucer, in excellent condition, covered with gorgeous yellow roses. I keep singing the song "Yellow Rose of Texas" each time I see this cup. This will make a stunning addition to any collection for display, or just be fun to drink from. Grosvenor China was the trade name of a firm called Jackson & Gosling (Ltd) of Grosvenor Works, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. It was first established 1866 in Fenton and later had a Longton address until 1909. Copeland purchased Grosvenor China and the combined company was incorporated as W. T. Copeland & Sons Ltd in 1932. Jackson & Gosling China Company closed in 1969 and the trade name was no longer used. The simple printed mark on this cup was used in the 1930's.
