Royal Chelsea Fruit Centered Cup & Saucer, Signed by K. Cope

This is a lovely cup and saucer made under the trade name of Royal Chelsea which was made by New Chelsea China Co Ltd at Longton, England. It is signed by the well known artist K. Cope. This trade name was used beginning around 1943 through 1961; this particular mark was used from approximately 1951-1961. There is a deep border of white with conventional gold decoration, heavily done, which is in very good condition. In the center of the saucer there are strawberries (slightly faded) along with the signature of the artist K. Cope. The inside of the cup has plums and other fruit in a bunch on one side. The height of the cup is 2 3/4", the width is 3 1/4". The width of the saucer is 5 1/2".

This is a gorgeous cup and saucer that would make a nice addition to anyone's collection.
