California Pottery Circus Wagon Horses by Freeman Leidy

This is a very pretty and very dramatic example of the best of California Pottery. This set is huge and very elaborate. The wagon with a design of cherubs and scrolls measures 9 1/2" long, 9 1/2" high and 6 1/4" wide.. The two circus draft horses, Percherons I think, are 10" by 11" and 8 1/4" by 11". They are basically white with periwinkle accenting, including periwinkle dappling and have applied avocado green ribbons and bows while their plumes are multicolored. There is no damage besides the expected age crazing. The wagon is signed by hand CO Freeman-Leidy Laguna Beach Calif.
