Vintage Brass Fire Starter/Lid and Fire Starter Rod
This vintage brass fire starter is about 7" tall, it stands on three legs, the two handles, each have a ring possibly for a handle, that is no longer
there.
A flammable liquid was carried in the brass container, when fire was needed to start fireplaces, etc. the rod-end was wet, lite and taken from place to place to light the fires.
There is a crack or mend on the back, but it doesn't go through to the inside.
Often with these fire starters the rod is missing.
This would make a nice display piece.
