Vintage Siam Niello Silver Bracelet
This bold and distinctive Siam Niello bracelet is a hand crafted piece of art.
It is composed of 5 panels that measure approx 1" by 1/2" each.
The length of the bracelet is approx. 7 1/2" long.
Niello is a technique of copper, silver and lead sulfides used in an inlay on engraved or etched metals.
Most of it was completely hand made.
Niello ware jewelery and related items from Siam (Thailand) were popular gifts from american soldiers taking R and R to their wives or girlfriends back home from the 1930's - 1970's and tourists bring home souvenirs and gifts from extended vacations and trips abroad during this period.
Siam jewelery is very collectable because of the wide variety of items, variety of subjects, and the mystic of the country.
