Vintage Siam Niello Silver Jewelery set

This set includes a pair of earrings, a pin, and a bracelet. The pin and earrings have Mekkala Goddess of Lightning. The bracelet has Mekkala and Ramasoon God of Thunder and a dancing angel and others. The bracelet has 8 panels each measures approx. 1" by 1/2" Each panel depicts a character from the Siam Ramakien legend. The set includes bracelet, pin, and a pair of clip on earrings. Filagree surrounds all of the pieces. Niello is a technique of copper, silver, and lead sulphides used as an inlay on engraved or etched metals. Most of it was completely hand made. Nielloware jewelery and related items from Siam (Thailand) were popular gifts from american soldiers taking R and R to their wife or girlfriend back home from 1930-1970's. Tourists bring home souvenirs and gifts from extend vacations and trips abroad during this period.
