Vintage Siam Niello Silver Earrings and Pin
This set includes a pair of earrings and a pin.
There is filagree all around the edges.
The pin measures approx. 1 3/4by 1"
The pin and earrings have Mekkala goddess of Lightning and Ramasoom God of Thunder.
The earrings are screw back. (not Pierced)
Niello is a technique of copper, silver, and lead sulphides used as an inlay on engraved or etched metals.
Most of it was completely hand made.
Nielloware jewelery and related items from Siam (Thailand) were popular gifts from american soldiers taking R and R to their wife or girlfriend back home from 1930-1970's.
