This circa 1920 exquisite Bracelet is Shakudo. This was originally used for Samurai Sword fitments. Shakudo is an alloy of copper with a small quantity of Gold, pickled in a solution to produce a blue black color, or iron, exquisitely inlaid with silver and gold. Supreme masters of metal work produced these items. This piece measures approx. 7 1/4" long un-clasped. There are 10 links to this piece with a safety chain that has been un-attached for display purposes and can be easily re-attached. It is marked on the back Made in Japan. The links measure approx. 1/4" in diameter each link has a different design some with butterflies, flowers or a village. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
