This circa 1920 exquisite Bracelet is Shakudo. This was originally used for Samurai Sword fitments. Shakudo is an alloy of copper with a small quantity of Gold, pickled in a solution to produce a blue black color, or iron, exquisitely inlaid with silver and gold. Supreme masters of metal work produced these items. This piece measures approx. 7 1/4" long un-clasped. There are 11 links to this piece. Each panel measures approx. 1/2" tall. It is marked on the back with a diamond shape with a "M" in the center. Each panel has a different design on the front and back. The panels on the back are gold with a different etched item on each panel. The end of the clasp needs to be replaced.
