Pair of Hand Carved Soap Stone Book ends
Pair of hand carved soap stone book ends measure approx. 4" tall and 3" by 1" wide. They show a flower pot with a flower climbing out. They are no a perfect match the coloring is a bit different in each piece. Still nice though
Soap stone has been used as a medium for carvings for thousands of years. Was first used in Egypt, China, India, Iran, and parts of the Americas. It is also called Soft stone or Green Stone. Soap stone comes in many colors and variations and is used all over the world. It is not as hard as Jade but produces more details than Jade.
