19th Century French Column Wood & Gilt Candlestick
Wonderful wooden column candlestick with gilt over gesso and wood.
Dates from early 19th century.
Has many decorative tiers and corrugated tole wax pan measuring 5 1/2" in diameter with tube insert for candle.
Triangular base measuring 8" wide
Probably used in a church.
Origin: France
32" tall
Some original paint on backside shown in photo
Many exposed areas of gilt, wood (birch) and gesso.
