Paden City Glass was located in Paden City, West Virginia and their glass production began in 1916. The previous manager of Martinsville Glass Company, one David Fisher, was hired to manage the Paden City plant. He ran the Company until he died in 1933. His son, Samuel Fisher, took over managing the business and in 1949 a decision to purchase American Glass Company (an automated facility), took place. Apparently that was not a good move as the glass at Paden City had been handmade and was of the highest quality. Their glass was either pressed or blown into a mold.
Eventually the purchase of American Glass Company resulted in both Companies closing. Samuel stayed to the end when doors closed September 21, 1951.
