Cased and Cut 19th Century Oil Lamp

Oil lamp enthusiasts should be sure to look at this 19th century beauty! This is a nice, heavy oil lamp sitting on a solid light lavender glass pedestal. It is connected with a short (2") bronze metal stem to a Cased and Cut bell shaped font. The font has a metal ring inside the bottom (see photo) for electrical purposes; however, the lavender glass pedestal has no inserted hole for wiring. Therefore, all of this leads us to believe the two are married pieces.

The font reveals a small chip in the white overlay and at the first ring of the pedestal, there is a slight sliver chip. Also, on the underside of the base, there is an inside chip. None of these 3 flaws however, detract from the splendor of this lamp! The overall height is 13".
