Early Hand Painted Nippon Plate and Bowl With Raised Gold Beading

We have for your consideration an absolute gem! This piece is an early hand painted Nippon plate and attached small bowl. It reveals the introductory (1911) M-in-Wreath green mark. The "M" standing for importer Morimara Bros. The mark was also done in blue, gold and magenta. The piece measures about 9" total width with the top bowl measuring 4-3/4" wide. The overall height is about 2". It is hand painted with roses in pastel pink, pale yellow and a deeper pink and pastel green leaves. The outer rim of the plate and the inside rim of the bowl have a pink band which is then decorated in raised gold beading. The underside is supported with raised double foot rims. This piece is in excellent condition! There are no chips or cracks. It would make a lovely piece for any collection.
