Stangl Blue Pottery Ribbed Pitcher / Ewer

Stangl Pottery is a continuation of Fulper Pottery. In 1929 Fulper Pottery was purchased by Johann Martin Stangl, a former chemist and plant manager at Fulper. Stangl made inexpensive dinnerware, artware and utilitarian ware and when Mr. Stangl died in 1972, Frank Wheaton, Jr. bought Stangl and in 1978 sold it to Pfaltzgraff Pottery. Pfaltzgraff ended production of Stangl.

With a little of Stangl history above, for your consideration is this sweet little blue Stangl pitcher/ewer. It is ribbed on the outside and has a pale blue glaze. The handle and ribbed lines are a darker shade of that blue. It stands just under 7-1/2" high and is free of chips, cracks or crazing. The bottom shows "STANGL" and the numbers 3172 U.S.A. This is a lovely piece.
