The Genius Of Pierre Cardin Never Ends... This fabulous silk Necktie and Pocket Scarf is beautiful. The tie presents a sophisticated geometric design of shape angles and soft lines. It is in hues of silver gray and soft golds and ecru on black. The pocket scarf is a geometric pattern of the same colors. The set is from the 1970s and it has never been worn.
The tie measures 56 inches long by 4 inches wide. The pocket square is 10 1/2 inches. Stitched on tie label reads, "pierre cardin" and both pieces also have labels that read, "100% Silk, Made in Korea".
The lower portion of the tie has very faint vertical lines in the black field that may be from fading although I am not certain. I have captured this in my some of my photos.
This beautifully designed couture tie and pocket square are proof that vintage clothing accessories are not a trend but rather style with no end.
