Ucagco Wall Pocket Artist Pallet w Fruit Japan

This wonderful wall pocket depicts hand painted fruit on an artist's pallet. This piece is rare and is in perfect condition. Dates to the very early 1950's. The hand painted fruit is beautifully done in wonderful colors.

Original silver and red foil sticker reads, "Ucagco Ceramics Japan, with Ucagco Logo".

The wall pocket measures 6" in height and is 5 1/2" wide. The rectangular opening on the top of the back vase is about 2 1/2" x 1 1/2". There is a hole in the pottery for hanging the vase on the wall.

Condition is mint. No chips, cracks or repair. No water or mineral stains inside. All paint is clear and intact. The green trimmed outer edge is multiple shades of grass green with areas of little or no paint – a technique original to the making.
