Sterling & Mother of Pearl Figural Baby Rattle
A most unusual baby rattle from the early 1900s! This roly-poly sterling policeman is one of the cutest rattles I've ever seen!!! This smiling figure is hollow with a little bell inside which makes a lovely tinkling sound when waved. The mother of Pearl teething stick is perfectly inserted - quite firm, and the entire piece is in pristine condition.The base of the stick is stamped 925. A truly well-cared-for heirloom which was never used by Baby - the sterling measures 2 4/5 inches, the pearl, 1 3/4 inches for a total of about 4 1/2 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide.
