Just in time for all your holiday entertaining!!! This red & white English transferware round covered casserole is a great serving piece in EXCELLENT CONDITION! This classic pattern has a group of Swiss folk dancers in front of a charming Alpine chalet, surrounded by a border of Edelweiss and wild roses. Manufactured by Thomas Hughes & Sons, Longport, Staffordshire, this is a 1940's - 1950's remake of the 1850's pattern.
The bottom piece transfer is a slightly lighter shade red than the top, which is darker, but both pieces are in excellent condition. PERFECT for the holiday table.
Measures 10 1/2" wide x 5" tall to top of finial.
