In a much-loved color of it's era (40's), this cheerful coffee pot boasts bright orange flowers reminiscent of it's place of origin, Provence.
It is a handsome example with the classic "goose-neck" spout. The enamel color gradates from a soft, "duck-egg" green to white. The hand-painted applied color design at the center of both the front and back features wide lotus leaves and brilliant orange flowers and buds. There are hand painted rings of chocolate brown on the lid, filter and body. The spout has a long hand painted stripe of chocolate brown on each side.
The total measurements are: 12" tall, 3 3/4" diameter across the filter, 5 1/2" diameter across the bottom, 9" wide spout to handle. The three pieces are present: the lid, filter and coffee pot. It is in very good, original condition. There are some light chips to the enamel as is expected with age. The painted design retains the original brilliant color with no loss to the design.
These pieces bring such a wonderful ambiance to any setting. The brilliant orange color combined with the soft green of this example make it an exceptionally pleasing accessory.
