A rare example it was made by the Heris Nurnberg company (not marked) in Germany. It dates from 1939-40.
It has exquistite detailing and is stamped with the number "5" on both sides. The rabbit is exceptional, he has a woven basket on his back and he sits on a little mile marker which reads "15 Klm ( Kilometers ) nach Hasenheim (to Hasenheim). It comes with two clamps.
It stands 17" high and 5 1/2" across at the bottom. At the widest point it measures 7 1/2". The metal mold is in excellent condition for it's age.
Because of it's large size it would make a fabulous centerpiece to a collection. Or, as a decorative item, would be perfect for a French country kitchen counter or shelf.
