French Table/Vanity Mirror with Green Glass Stones

This is a lovely small piece. It dates from 1920-1930 and comes from Paris.

The body of the mirror is of cast metal which has a gilded patina. It has it's original mirror framed by the original 47 bezel set green glass stones which serve for a frame. Two elegant female figures proudly hold the mirror at a permanent tilted angle, perfect for a lady to regard her countenance (the mirror is static, it does not swivel). The bottom stand is composed of two fancy metal braided ropes. Above the mirror is a pretty cascading bow.

It measures: 6 1/2" tall to center bottom ring, 4" in diameter. The mirror (including glass stones)measures 2 3/4" in diameter, the figures 3 1/4" tall. It survives in very good and solid condition, with slight darkening to the gilt patina as expected with the age.

It is an unusual piece, the richly colored glass stones give it a jewel-like effect. It would be stunning on a silver tray surrounded by pearls and baubles.
