This little pitcher has every detail and elegant workmanship found in large pieces. It comes from Paris, is Meissen and dates from 1930-1940.
It has a demure size, 1 7/8" tall and 1 7/8" wide at the bottom. There are two beautifully executed, hand painted bouquets of flowers on each side. The life-like flowers are in rich shades of purple, green, yellow, blue and orange. The pitcher has a little handle which curves downward and attaches to the body next to a pair of leaves.
The handle, leaves and lip of the pitcher are all hand accented in gilt. The bottom of the pitcher bears the Meissen mark and the production number of 46.
It would look lovely on the bureau or dresser in a miniature room or French doll vignette.
