The bright yellow color with the saucy grey/yellow and white bands give this kitchenware set a real presence! The set of 6 is French, and dates from 1930-1940.
Enamel kitchen accessories were very popular in French kitchens. Bright colors were favored, with lovely linear designs. This is follows suit and is embellished with a raised enamel plaid which is placed on top of the yellow/gold enamel base. The interior of the pots is a pale greyish white. The bottom of the each casserole has a stamp, "B.B." with a shield and crown. The rim of the casserole is lined in a sienna brown, each handle has a center brown stripe.
The measurements are, smallest casserole to largest: 4 1/2" diameter, 2 3/4" deep: 4 1/4" diameter, 3 1/4" deep: 6" diameter, 3 1/2" deep: 7" diameter 3 1/2" deep: 7 1/2" diameter, 4" deep.
The set is in very good condition with very slight wear or chipping to the enamel.
